Workshops are 1 to 2 hour classes that are offered at least once a month. Pre-registration is required.

Burlesque (the movie) Workshop Burlesque (the movie) is fun to watch... but it's even more fun to personify Ali (Christina Aguilera) as the small-town "farm girl" who falls in love with the art of Burlesque. We'll use music from the musical and you'll be the STAR!

Cheer Dance Workshop This is the ultimate feel-good class of the summer! Join us to learn a cheer dance routine from a Vancouver All Star cheerleader. No stunts, jumps or tumbling - just fast-paced choreography taught gradually in a step-by-step format. Bring it on!

"Chicago" & "Nine" Workshop Christie Manning is a very well known dancer, instructor and choreographer. She used to teach Pussycat Dolls at iDance and we're happy to have her back teaching this workshop with her signature sassy style! "Chicago" & "Nine"... from the stage, to the screens, to iDance! "Nine" is a Tony Award winning Broadway musical, currently singing and dancing on the big screen! It follows the life of a famous Italian director, Guido Contini, as he struggles to find harmony in his professional & personal life while engaging in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent & his mother. The movie is directed by Rob Marshall, who also brought us "Chicago", which also has stunning dance cinematography. Here's your chance to pretend you're part of the "cast" instead of just the audience. If you like the pussycat dolls and burlesque classes, you'll LOVE this workshop!

Dance Hall Workshop If you missed Onika's videography class last month (when she taught us some moves from Sean Paul's most popular music videos), you don't want to miss her again! Onika Powell is a trained hip hop dancer and has a natural talent and passion for Reggae. She has studied under Luther Brown (SYTYCD), among others, and has entertained and performed at various live stage shows and award shows dancing back-up for artist such as Sean Paul and Kardinal Offishall. Onika has done videos for almost everyone from Rihanna to Puff Daddy. Her dancing has also taken her to acting as she has been featured in the movies Honey, How She Move and more recently in the film Step. Onika is only in Vancouver for a short period of time so don't miss this class!

Flashdance Workshop Brace yourself for a massive dose of nostalgia, 80's style. Wear your leg warmers for the Flashdance warm-up and learn a portion of the "audition" dance. Big hair is optional (but recommended).

Glee Club Workshop Unleash your inner STAR! Don't let 2010 pass without dancing & signing (or lip-syncing) to your favourite GLEE songs in this fun-filled class. In only two hours, you will learn a complete choreographed number. And when things get crazy at your Christmas party this year, you'll have something to bust out! You might even find yourself wanting to go back to high school...

iDance for Britney Workshop Enter online for your chance to win one of two pairs of tickets to see Britney Spears live at Rogers Arena on July 1, 2011! For an additional entry, attend the "iDance for Britney" workshop. You'll learn two routines during this two-hour workshop - one to Nicki Minaj and then "it's Britney, baby!" Jumps & Turns Workshop This is a jazz technique workshop designed to help you learn the most contemporary jazz tricks. Learn the turns & jumps in slow motion, in an easy-to-follow breakdown for every step - and then just add air!

Kristmas Krumping Workshop Sign-up NOW for the Kristmas Krumping Workshop with Rae Fyhn - that's right, we're krumping for kristmas. Release your shopping frustrations! This workshop will be followed by our Christmas OPEN HOUSE and a performance by our Dance Team.

Lady Gaga Workshop Stay after Rae's Videography class on Saturday for another hour of Gaga! If you're going to the concert on Aug 23, you'll have all the moves you need - just roll some pop cans in your hair and you'll be good to go!

Modelling Workshop This workshop is designed for Figure B student models iDance drop-ins are welcome! Do you want a signature style that is unmistakably yours? Gain body awareness and self confidence in this two hour workshop. Learn about posture and posing. Practice walking from a dancer's perspective. Learn grace, movement and balance for those quarter turns and model turns. This workshop will teach you the skills to take your modelling to the next level!

Rockette Workshop Take a break from the shops and really get into the Christmas spirit by personifying a Rockette for a couple of hours!

Salsa for Couples Workshop It's Valentine's Day so combine your two loves (assuming it's your significant other & dancing) and attend our Salsa for Couples workshop! You will learn the basic salsa steps (forward and back basic, side basic), connection and frame as well as leading or following basic turn patterns and change of place turns - be ready to laugh and have fun!
