Jane Stevens Founder & Artistic Director
	Jane is the founder & artistic director of iDance Studios. Her goal is to breakdown the elitest barriers surrounding dance and create a fun & friendly dance space for the non-professional dancer. Jane started dancing before she could walk! Starting at the age of 3, she trained in ballet, jazz, lyrical and musical theatre. After having her daughter, Alexandra, Jane stopped dancing and started her career as a legal secretary. She filled her dance-void by becoming a BCRPA-certified group fitness leader and teaching dance/fitness classes. She also became a certified Yoga & Pilates instructor and started teaching Yoga Dance classes and Pilates for Dancers. With a passion for dance-infused fitness, Jane opened iDance with her sister, Anne, in September 2008. After a year, Anne went back to University to pursue her academic career and she is now a high-powered executive who enjoys attending iDance classes in her spare time (but, of course). In December 2011, Jane became business partners with Rae Fyhn, who is one of the "original four" iDance instructors (shout out to Caitlin, Maki and Sasha, who have all been with the studio since the beginning). Now as co-owner, Rae is also the studio manager. Together, Jane and Rae (and Anne, as their biggest supporter) plan on growing the iDance community, making dance available to every body! When Jane is not teaching, she is spending time with her four children: Alexandra (now 17!), Leif (7), Sienna (5) & Ever (3).
